DRESS WARM STAY HAPPY
The weather in Iceland is very unpredictable so we recommend bringing warm, and more importantly, waterproof clothes for the ride!
Icelanders dress in layers to keep warm!
Layer 1 – Woollen shirt, woollen long johns/leggings/thermals
Layer 2 – Fleece/down/wool jacket/sweater, soft (fleece) pants
Layer 3 – Water- and windproof jacket and trousers
It’s also important to bring…
Thick hat
Gloves
Woollen/thick socks
Hiking/waterproof boots

The weather changes fast. You can follow the weather report here.
Note: For outdoor activities – Don’t wear cotton (it does not insulate when wet)

THE BASICS
Icelandic food is typical European style. We recommend to drink water and it is safe and environmentally friendly to fill your water bottles with tap water unless otherwise marked. We recommend that you ask your guide to confirm the quality of the water.
For electrical devices, you need a European adapter. You can buy it at the airport or in local shops. Don’t forget your phone charger.
Internet Wi-Fi is widely accessible in Iceland and readily available at your hotels. There are some areas in the highlands with low phone reception but in general 3g and 4g are available throughout.

The local currency in Iceland is called króna. The use of credit cards is the most common method of payment. You can find ATMs in almost every town as well as at the airport.
Off road driving is strictly prohibited in Iceland. But don’t worry – the tracks and trails we will use offer an even better experience in stunning nature. Don’t forget your driving license for a full experience
Happy touring!
