Get on a super jeep driving lesson with a polar travel expert! This half-day Arctic Truck tour ou will have your very own private super jeep instructer who will show you how to tackle different off-road terrains in Iceland driving a super jeep.
The emphasis is on the enjoyment of driving so that you will leave with a desire for more adventure and the confidence that you will be able to handle the rugged landscapes that might befall your journeys in the highlands.
Before we head on out into the mountains, we will take the time to review all of the modifications of the super jeep, the purpose of the equipment and the correct use cases for each. Once we’ve gotten familiar with the jeep we start the tour.
It is only about a 20 minutes’ drive to the Hellisheidi plateau and the geothermal power plant where we will enter incredibly convenient playing grounds for the super jeep. We will drive through the fun mountain road called the 1000 Rivers Road, driving alongside the river Hengladalaá we will need to cross it on a number of occasions, which is always thilling and fund! We will drive through beautiful mountain ranges where we test the skills and limits of the super jeep. Through this all, your instructer will confidently teach you all that you need to know to drive a super jeep in the Icelandic highlands – how to deflate the tires, when to utilize the differential lock. The super jeep might get stuck which will only offer a fantastic learning opportunity of how to get unstuck and so much more!
